Vertical Vacuum Packaging Machine
MBM Innovations: +49 821-650-51-70
MBM Innovations contact form
MBM Innovations' VSM® BULKY vertical packaging machine is ideal for transport and maturing packaging for foods, pouch packaging for natural casings in brine, and loose packs. The VSM® atmospheric vacuum system provides a structurally gentle yet high-quality vacuum due to air being evacuated directly from the bag using special suction nozzles; the entire evacuation process takes place under normal atmospheric pressure without a vacuum chamber. The extra-wide vacuum station with impulse sealing on both sides ensures reliable, crease-free sealing, even in large formats and with moist bags. Hygienically designed, VSM® BULKY packs a wide variety of products efficiently, safely, and sustainably in a vacuum or modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), sending products directly into transport boxes, E2 crates, drums, or cartons. Typical areas of application include transport and maturing packaging of meat and sausage products, ham, fish and seafood, and cheese intended for bulk consumers and the catering sector; pouch packaging for natural casings in brine; and loose packs such as soya granules, animal feed, nuts, and dried fruit.

Recyclable PET Packaging Solution for Sliced Meats, Cheeses
SÜDPACK: +49 7352-925-01
SÜDPACK has introduced polyethylene terephthalate (PET) floatable lidding films that offer a sustainable alternative for the safe packaging of sliced meat, ham, and cheese in peelable, thermoformed, and modified atmosphere packagings. Used on mono-amorphous PET (APET) trays, the low-density, sealable top webs can be separated during recycling from the APET bottom webs, producing cleanly recycled materials for infeed into different material flows. The PET floatable lidding films provide equal performance and processing reliability to conventional lidding films. The product family includes a peelable version and a top web featuring Multipeel® for easy opening and reclosing. The extra-thin lidding film, measuring 45 micrometers, securely seals against PET trays, even when contaminated with fats. It peels easily off the tray and does not tear or roll. The high oxygen barrier also ensures optimal product protection. Additionally, antifog properties keep the lidding film clear, ensuring an attractive presentation at retail.
Traceability Solution Ensures FSMA Compliance
Antares Vision Group contact form
Antares Vision Group has launched its new Food Safety Solution, a cloud-based platform designed to ensure regulatory compliance, precision traceability, and supply chain transparency for food and beverage companies. The platform allows manufacturers and distributors to track raw materials and ingredients, manage purchase orders, and obtain status updates on subcontractor deliveries, while also providing a labeling offering with all required attributes to meet regulatory compliance. Food Safety Solution also helps ensure compliance with the requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), including FSMA 204, also known as the Food Traceability Final Rule, by addressing stringent FSMA mandates with comprehensive, situation-specific labeling capabilities.
Optical Sorter for Blueberries
WECO: +1 530-666-9190
WECO's 360Tek optical sorter for blueberries separates product with fine defects, extraneous vegetable matter, and jumbo berries. The small, high-capacity sorter can inspect up to 8,000 pounds (3,600 kilograms) of berries per hour, maximizing product quality while reducing labor requirements. With its unique roller design, the 360Tek is half the size of similar fine defect sorters while achieving twice the throughput. To present a complete, 360-degree view of each piece of fruit for inspection, the 360Tek conveys berries over a series of hourglass-shaped rollers. Digital color cameras take up to 16 photos of each berry as it rotates, and advanced machine learning algorithms analyze the color, size, and shape of every object to make sophisticated sort decisions. Air nozzles positioned between the rollers gently deflect objects identified for separation into three customizable streams.
Real-Time Cold Chain Shipment Tracking Solution
Copeland contact form
Copeland's GO real-time 4G/5G-NA tracker for cold chain tracking leverages Wi-Fi and 4G/5G cellular technology to deliver real-time data for customers shipping temperature-sensitive foods. The GO real-time 4G/5G-NA trackers can monitor in-transit conditions such as temperature within 15 meters (49.2 feet) of positioning accuracy for up to 20 days. Oversight, the cloud-based online software platform from Copeland, enables trackers to be configured to notify users in real time, via text or email, if any deviation of temperature-sensitive conditions arise during shipment. Users can view current maps, graphs and charts of key shipments, including temperature, security, and location details. Shipment summary reports include additional details such as device serial number, tip name and duration, mean kinetic temperature, and time above or below range.
Optical Sorter for Individually Quick Frozen Foods
Key Technology: +1 509-529-2161
Key Technology's COMPASS® optical sorter for individually quick frozen products—including fruits, vegetables, seafood, poultry, and meat—identifies and removes foreign material (FM) and product defects to protect food safety and final product quality. The optical sorter is ideal for whole products, slices, dices, and crumbles, as well as product mixes. Leveraging in-air inspection, the chute-fed sorter "sees" all sides of a product with no blind spots.
It detects and rejects plastic, glass, metal, stones, and other FM, including extraneous vegetable matter like leaves and toxic weeds. Processor-specified product defects are also removed from the line with virtually no false rejects. Recipe-driven programming also ensures consistent sort performance on every product run, which is especially valuable in high-changeover applications. Operators can create new recipes for new products or adjust existing recipes to accommodate product changes without assistance.
‘Do Not Refreeze’ Label
SpotSee, +1 800.846.2468
SpotSee has released its ‘Do Not Refreeze’ label to ensure food quality and safety throughout the supply chain and within commercial food environments. Once food has gone through a freeze/thaw cycle, the quality and/or safety of food can be compromised if it is refrozen. After placing the ‘Do Not Refreeze’ label on the packaging, if the temperature drops below –15 °C/5 °F, the text turns dark blue and alerts handlers that the product cannot be frozen again.

Metal-Detectable Safety Knives
MARTOR, +49 212.738.700
The SECUMAX 150 MDP extends MARTOR’s family of metal-detectable safety knives. The knives remain detectable if lost—even the smallest parts—and, therefore, have no long-term adverse impacts on sensitive production processes. Weighing only 31 grams, the SECUMAX 150 MDP is made of plastic that is metal- and X-ray-detectable. The SECUMAX 150 MDP is also safe when cutting. Its concealed blade means that the sharp cutting edge never gets too close to either its user or the packaged goods. The outer blade area, used for scraping off labels and splitting adhesive tape, is also non-sharp.
