New Beginnings

I am pleased to present this December/January issue of Food Safety Magazine (FSM) as our first edition published as a BNP Media brand.

The year 2020 was one of dramatic changes as businesses big and small faced incredible challenges under the strain of the global pandemic. For some of us, those challenges proved to be accelerants for changes that were already well under way. For media brands like FSM, this is reflected most noticeably in the shift from traditional print models to digital production and distribution. The move to digital has been a gradual, exciting, and creative process.

With FSM’s acquisition by BNP Media, we can now complete the digital transformation of our business, allowing us to keep pace with the needs of both our dedicated audience and our advertisers. For those of you who are reading this edition in print form, we invite you to sign up to receive future editions via our beautiful new digital edition. You can do this by visiting our website and updating your subscription with your email address. If you’re already reading the digital edition, you are seeing firsthand some of the exciting new features this digital platform has to offer—but stay tuned, we’re just getting started with this new format that allows us to include many interactive features.

January also marks the unveiling of FSM’s new website at our new address: food-safety.com. Completely redesigned and responsive, this new website will allow you to easily and seamlessly access our content on all your devices. We will also be adding more editions to our popular FSM eDigest newsletter, which will be distributed once a week in 2021.

What hasn’t changed? Our dedication to bringing you the highest quality and most trusted food safety content in the industry—in every format! Rest assured, as we step into 2021, FSM will be working hard to support the food safety professionals who ensure the safety of the world’s food supply, just as we have done for the past 25 years.
